An app/website that determines the probability of you being COVID positive by using data from several APIs.
Science and Observation
AreYouPositive.gq tells you the probability of you being tested Coronavirus positive by using data from covid19 apis.
We determine your chances of being positive based on the number of cases that your country currently has and the current population of that country.
Obviously, you should take our predictions with a grain of salt, and get yourself tested if you feel like you have any symptoms, irrespective of what our app says.
I made this app because I'm sick and tired of people complaining about the masks and how they're not necessary, and how they'd never get affected on sites like Twitter. Hence, to bring some intelligence to their minds, I made AreYouPositive.gq. It helps people understand the seriousness of this situation and to take the CoronaVirus seriously.
I used the load time trackers to make sure that my app wasn't taking too long to start up because a survey said that people leave your website if it takes longer than 3 seconds. I was able to cut down the load times by a bunch because of New Relic. Secondly, I used its dependencies tracker on my backend to make sure that I wasn't stressing any APIs I was using. It helped me manage my cache and determine the expiry times for said caches.
